How do you adjust CH 5 & 6 with CH3?

Right now I max out at

CH 1: 15
CH 2: 0
CH 3: 85
CH 4: 18
CH 5: 60
CH 6: 50

Tank is 24" deep with a 1" sandbed. Fixture is 9" over the water

I think several of us run 3,5,6 at same intensity. So in your case 3,5,6 at 85%. And I would work those channels up closer to 100%. The ab plus program would run 1,2,4 at same (lower) intensities too.

Do you ramp your blues up during the day or have them right at 100% from on to off? I’m trying to adjust mine. I have mine about 8” off the water. My LFS said 100% on blues and little on red green and white.

How long do you run your lights for? What’s your schedule look like?

Your help would be appreciated :)

Hard to figure this out as there are so many variables

So currently, I ramp up and down 3 hours on either side of my peak. Then I run 100% blues for 6 hours. So a 12 hour total photo period. When blues are at 100, whites are 40, reds and greens 25. You can follow those max ratios as u ramp up and down.

Running 2 32 v2's over a 180, with 2 80 watt Blue plus blubs.

Max settings for me:
Channel 1- 17
Channel 2- 14
channel 3- 68
channel 4- 15
channel 5- 61
channel 6- 68

I have a xcel spreadsheet that will let you set your max % value based on the ratio to channel 3 royal blue. Sorry for some reason it wont let me post it saying it not supported file type...?

Any updates? Pics updayes?

I got a reefer 525 and looking for a 60" light. I seen RB has a 50" and I'm interested in it.

I’ve been running the 48v2 for two years now. I recently moved into a reefer 525. It still puts out great light for the 60 inch tank. I did add a couple 48 inch t5s which also help with spread. Of course the 50v2 will give you better spread than my 48. It’s a great light in my experience.

@Neo Jeo how about a FTS w/fixture.

@Robsk Very nice tank!! Approximately how much rock did you put in? Seems like far below the ancient 1-1lb rule? I plan to buy 80-90lbs this weekend for my new setup.

Still on the fence between the RB 50 or an older ATI 60" powermodule. The only issue I might have is my breaker could trip with the powermodule. The only reason I hesitate.

Thanks! Yeah, I've always been a fan of less rock. Might have 50-60 lbs in this tank. Corals have more room to grow up. Fish have a little more room to swim. And flow in the tank doesn't get blocked as much. I've seen some great looking tanks either way.
ATI fixtures are definitely proven. No arguing that. But I have to say, these reefbreeders just work. I do think you will probably want a little of both either way you go. ATI with led strips or Led Panel w/T5. This combo seems to cover your bases with all coral.
