I currently have a T5 4 bulb fixture over a 40G tank, about 6” from the waters surface.

i want to add a RB XHO actinic with mounting leg which would be about 4 inches off the waters surface. How intense are these light, do I need to be concerned about them being too intense given they are so close to the surface. Is acclimation required or could I pop them on and go....

order would a Lumi Lite be more appropriate?

intent is to remove the T5 actinic and replace it with another non actinic bulb.

thanks
