I mix my salt to 1.025 with RO/DI water. Does anyone know what the pH should be?The problem I'm having is my Apex Reads 7.95 on newly mixed salt water and the two handheld pH meters I have read at 8.3

I would not chase PH. Just make sure not to swing anything too much at once, alk especially.

The pH of newly mixed salt water will depend entirely on the carbon dioxide level in the room where you are aerating/mixing it.

There is no "should be" value to help determine which of the meters is accurate.

As mentioned, all pH meters need to be calibrated before use, and that will help determine where the issue lies. :)
