Is this skimmer suppose to be loud from the pump? Mine is obnoxiously loud. First skimmer I’ve owned so not sure if the pumps on these run loud. It’s louder then all my other equipment all togethor.

I have that exact skimmer and mine is pretty quiet. The lid on the collection cup vibrates a bit so I just put some very thin foam rubber strips on the edge of lid and it quit. But the pump itself is fairly quiet on mine. But I guess quiet is also a relative term;):)

I run 2 Fx6 s and it’s twice as loud as both of them thinking of returning it and trying to get a replacement.

Yeah sounds like something might be wrong, cuz mine is pretty quiet.
