Great work! Have you tested various setpoints to verify that you are getting correct output? I have found 0.6 to be a very stable build. I sometimes have a crash when updating the lighting tab but I just restart reef-pi and that clears it up.
I am heading to the coast for the weekend so I will have limited access to this thread (I will get "THE LOOK" .....:eek:) I will however check in from time to time. It will be cool to see your progress, so post some pics along the way!
All I really did was repost what @Ranjib told me to do back when I ran into trouble!

Please post your final hardware configuration. .I'll bet that mine end s up looking a lot like yours. BTW I found a document that tells how to connect the pi to a computer using an ether net cable . Going to try that tomorrow.

Also the mod for my marsaqua to cat 5 adapter.
Now i have teo more to make up!
Is it easyier to control the lights via the on off switch wired thru the cat 5 or to control the outlet these are plugged into?

What i am confused about is the pwm circuit.
When i have the lights powered on im getting 9.99 volts dc across the pwm wire coming from the power supply.
How will that voltage work when im going to have 0-10volts coming out of the pi3?
I dont want to let any magic smoke out lol.

Were you able to decipher the wiring circuit I had shared, to boost the 5v pwm to 10v ? If not I can build a prototype again in breadboard and take a picture and share, if that helps.

Ranjib will have to answer this. without a picture or diagram I can't picture the components or what exactly you are referring to. Basic concept is supplying 0-10v to dim plus and dim neg via pca pwm.
