This sounds like a question for Troy Lee, PM him and ask, if he dosent chime in soon and anwser the question.

I know online retailers sell All glass reef safe silicone for use in a standard caulk gun. I've never seen any at home improvement stores of LFS, but maybe they do in TN

Home Depot carries GE type I or you can purchase the All-Glass Aquarium silicon from your LFS (found in LFS in both Wyoming and Montana ;) ).

+1 on HD and Lowes. Just make sure you get the GE type 1 like Renegade said. That is what I used when I made my sump.

I thought all the GE stuff had some sort of mold inhibitor in them which would be toxic to aquariums. When I looked at home depot, I couldn't find any pure silicone without all sorts of additives that I couldn't pronounce except for the small squeeze tubes of DAP

i have used the DAP squeeze tubes but it took like 5 tubes to do a 55gallon sump and there were like 5 dollars a piece or more. would rather buy big tubes, and i worry about buying silicone having mold resistant or some type of chemical in it

oh man its GE type I not typeII. thanks for posting this i almost made a mess up. I could have swore it was type 2 so I bought that.
