Anyone interested in helping us put together a fish database?

We need people to help us decide what we need to include as well as data entry for each fish.

If you’re down to help then let us know here and we’ll put you to work! 🤪

Thanks!

This would be amazing if R2R had this! I don't know how much help I can provide, but I wouldn't mind taking a stab at helping a little!

Great! It's really not difficult. It will just take some people willing to input some data for us!

These are the details LA has and maybe we should do the same. We should also include a video as well as photos of each fish.

LA's data is what always popped up first, and if we can duplicate that here that would be awesome.

I can help, but not until after the xmas holiday. I have way too much life going on between now and then to commit to time.

I think many international people would appreciate it, if tank/fish size, etc. would be available in metric units, as well.

If something else comes to my mind, I'll let you know!

This is a fantastic idea. You never know when your go to place for information will just up and disappear...

Thanks guys and I will reach out asap!

In the meantime how do you feel about this example: https://www.reef2reef.com/showcase/flame-angelfish.924/
More than willing to help. Gibe me(pm me_ a sample or idea of how you want it structured. One thing LA does which I have an issue with is giving max sizes in the wild opposed to typical captive sizes. They have fish such as unicorn tang at 18" - 20" and ive seen max, even in public aquariums at 14"

As we are sometimes dealing with endangered species, it might make sense to provide information on the "conservation status" and if captive bred animals are available.

Toxicity information might also be of interest for certain animals.
