Nice! Question, what are the long coral sticking straight up, middle-left of the tank and top right that are whitish? I have them growing in my tank on one of the live rock.
Thank you! If we are talking about the same thing they would be acropora.

i am starting to phase out of the corals....i began to move my guys into my wife's smaller tank ....i picked up a haddoni nem and now am on the fence of what i want to do exactly with this thing...maybe to a nem only tank with a few clowns....or an "aggressive" tank....not sure though

Are you phasing out of corals because you've added the nem?

Appears to be acropora. I looked them up online. They come in a variety of colors, but mine are white. It is growing fast. Thanks, I'll post a pic later today.

Pretty much,.....plus I moved almost all of them to the wife's tank and they seem to be doing OK...so now that it's "empty" I'm thinking of going a different route....just kind of to change things up a bit,...I'm really leaning towards a nem tank

Are you running a bare bottom tank? I have the wp40's as well and felt that 2 were too much for my tank....I had sand storms galore

Thanks for the link....yeah I knew the risks in caring for one which is why I took the plunge....i mean the corals are nice but I wanted something a little different just to change things up a bit
I kept one in a mixed reef for a number of years without a problem, but I made sure I had a DSB, enough light, etc. so it would stay in place. I only lost one fish to it when the fish jumped out of a shipping bag while I was temperature acclimating it. I also made sure I had hosting clown fish to keep other fish at bay.

Beautiful hippo tang, among other things. Is NJ's reef association pretty active?

If u were referring to my tank with the wp 40s
I am running both one on each side about 1/2 way up on wave mode 1 with the 2 lowest setting I'm not sure if it's to much because I have no corals yet but I'm running the direct ocean live sand in it and it's a fairly small grain sand it has moved it around a little but after a week it's settled in nicely
