Hey there R2R,
Never did a build thread on my 2 reef tanks currently running, but I'm gonna try with this new setup.
This began because I got a used nano tank and stand for $40! I think it's an old aquapod by current.
So I decided to setup this tank and dedicate it to corallimorphs, and a pair of pipefish, maybe some inverts..
Got the tank wet and cycle started as of 12-2-12! Still a bit cloudy because I keep changing around my aquascape.
10lbs of Caribsea Fiji Pink, and about 20lbs of LR, and a couple nice frag rocks from Scott @ Alternative Reef.
Return pump is a brand new Maxijet-1200. Should I add powerhead for more flow? If so please recommend a good powerhead for nano.
Hood was all tore up so lighting will be an Orphek PR-25UV Par38 dimmable LED bulb/fixture (On its way).
And no skimmer, my filtration will be a HOG Uplflow ATS.
Did I missing anything? Thanks for looking! Any advice is appreciated! :xd:

Excited to see this one, especially the HOG ATS in action on it.

For pipes i highly recommend bluestripes! Make sure to have a lot of harpaticoid pods in the tank before you get them but it is totally possible to train them to cyclopeeze eventually.

GL on the build!

Thanks bro! Im excited too! Aquascape is comin together and water is clearing up more and more..
My LFS actually has 2 bluestipe pipes that have been there almost 2 months and eating frozen foods, but I still plan on populating the tank with plenty of pods for them to feast on too.

Update:
HOG UAS came yesterday. Light came today, and it was a bit disappointing to say the least. Very dim and wierd disco ball effect with the 60 degree honeycomb optics. Coverage was terrible with the optics on, it couldn't even cover my whole nano. :squigglemouth:
So I modified it by removing the crappy optics and replacing it with acrylic cover. Now I'm pretty happy with the coverage as long as its close to the water and no more disco ball effect. It is still kinda dim though but not nearly as bad as it was with the optics. And its very blue, like a 25k look. But it's ok I like blue!! Ha!
Now just need an ATO and, test, test, test..

Cut open the top of the hood to accommodate light..
