So after being on the road for about 12 hours, it was awesome meeting @blstravler and family. I was too exhausted last night, after unloading the truck to do anything.

I'm sad to see him letting this tank go, but it will continue to live on. The small HelloReef15 will be moving to it's new home Summer 2025.

With it being -1°F when I got home last night, the last little bits of water were frozen solid. With no spigot in this weather, I placed it on styrofoam in the barn until I can start cleaning it. I will add more pics later.

With the plumbing being in a tote, I will start soaking and cleaning that in the house. Get an o ring count, and I have some leftover hinges from the kitchen remodel that I think will replace the rusted one in the stand.

Tank is doing well.

It has its small tank syndrome issues, first one of which I ran into recently. The ATO seemed to malfunction and dumped about 2 cups of RODI extra in one night (not overflowing) dropping the salinity to 34 ppt. I just left it hoping evap would slowly bring it back into check. Then the next day it did not top off at all until I unplugged it and plugged it back in. But by the time I caught it they salinty was up to 37 ppt, and everything else concentrated a bit as well. I ended up doing a water change, and the next day it was all looking better. Small tank issues...lol

Yeah, I just set up an 8 and then put my 6 back into service so we'll see how those go.

The nice thing about the HelloReef I'm getting is it's setup for freshwater fish.

Yeah. Tank is the same it looks like, but they swapped out the decor and the light.

The light is a brand new model of AI blade made specifically for the GloFish :) gotta share lots of pics in the build thread of the light and lid.

It's going to be replacing my desk tank at work and that one will come home and replace one of my Betta tanks most likely.

Parameter post. Major ATO malfunction caused some huge swings. Still dialing it back in. Can't wait to get a bigger tank and some algea eaters to eat all this algea. For now, manual plucking it is.

Haven't been dosing anything in a while. My MG and Ca have slowly been dropping, but Alk dropped a lot faster. I will go back to dosing only AFR. Another WC tomorrow to get out more phosphate.
