Hoping anyone with the Gen 2 Red Sea lights can give some insight. I started my 20 gallon cube in August 2025, and we’ve all heard the stories about PAR being low with Red Sea lights. I’ve kept it at 100% but now I’m thinking the PAR is way too high, especially after reading some similar experiences. I placed a monti near the sandbed and it’s thriving, which I thought was odd. And a favia I placed on the sand bleached within a day, and some LPS are losing color, acros are thriving. I also have dinos which I believe is caused by the light. No I do not have a PAR meter as it’s not in the budget, but I was hoping someone could tell me what intensity you run, preferably mixed reef. Thank you all!

I am not sure on this one but looking at your video it sure looks like you've got it all dialed in!

As someone with a Reefled 60 G2 and a par meter I can tell you the sweet spot for LPS was 60% this provided PAR at 170ish at the top of my rock work (see my build thread for how far up the rockwork was) and 100 PAR at the sand bed.

I did slowly ramp the lights up to 60% though from 30% over a month period. If you're keeping Acros 80% should be enough for the top of the rock work and give you low enough PAR at the sand bed for your LPS. It's hard in these tanks to keep mixed since they aren't too tall so separating corals by light needs is a bit more difficult.

I hope this helps.
