Took some more top down shots recently with my Sony Xperia XZ Premium. Starting to see some nice basing out and sprouting on a couple of pieces

So hard to get a decent photo of the colouring of this one, but it's a yellowy/green base with blue skin and browny with white polyps

Tenuis on the right came in all blue, went totally brown, and is now showing some wicked coloration

@bubbaque see, the UK corals don't have half as much colour as the stateside ones

Welcome back, the tank looks amazing very vibrant. Will be following along to see how these beautiful corals grow. Those lenses just add cherry to the cake lol. When placing corals how do you decide where each of them should go?

Nonestly, I just look for some space, lol. With 3 x MP10's in a 225l tank, flow isn't much of an issue.

I've got a few nice sized plates of rock to add into the mid section to gain more real estate for corals as it's quite thin there. It's a case of "I really need to do that"...... and then I go buy more frags instead. I lack motivation for scaping.

Dang, my Paletta tri colour seems to have paled out over the weekend, along with a couple of others

The montipora seems to be going pale from the middle outwards. Weird, because some others are going crazy. I need to check P04 and nitrate tonight as my cheato looked a little pale too when doing a water change lastnight

So, I stopped off at my LFS lastnight and purchased 2 wrasse. A fairy wrasse and a tr-colour (I think).

Tri-colour dived straight into the sand, but the fair wrasse hid in the rock for a few minutes, then came out with all the other fish, straight at home

Hopefully they will both be out when i get home after work. Although I think it's time to re-home the purple tang this weekend.

Well, I haven't added any coral recently. I still need to add a little more rockwork in the mid section. Possibly get that done over the xmas break.

But seeing my nutrients were low, I've decided to add a couple of fish. I bought a fairy wrasse, orange with a white belly, and a juvenile Pseudodax Moluccanus. I left it two weeks, then added a small yellow tail tamarin and a lovely false leopard. Unfortunately, I haven't seen the false leopard since it went in :(

Some pics:

Also did an ICP. Seems I am low on Iodine, Molybdenum, Stontium and Boron, all of which are in the FM Balling Lite bottle 1. This is what goes in the calcium mix, but seeing as my tank doesn't chew through Ca mix as fast as the Kh, this doesn't get dosed as much, so I am thinking af adding that supplement to the Kh mix instead, along with Trace 2 and 3.

In all honesty, I don't really know many of them, apart from:

2. Tenuis
5. Birds of Paradise
6. Red Planet
7. Milliepora
8. Acropora Loripes

Never really had any "named" stuff, I just pick random frags from my local store and throw them in.

Finally managed to catch my Purple Tang in the fish trap. He was getting a little too big for the tank and was getting aggressive with the other fish. I had a buyer waiting, so as soon as he was caught, off he went to his newer, bigger tank.

Not wanting nitrates to drop after removing a ******** machine, I headed straight to my LFS and picked up the replacement

DSC_2469.JPG

He is only a small one, and once he was acclimated into the tank, he looked a LOT smaller than he did in the shop, which is a good thing. He's eating a mix of mysis and brineshrimp well and also chomping nori too

My urchin is a bellend. I think I may need to remove them from him. Can anyone confirm if this will harm him?

DSC_2501.JPG

Time to clean this out I guess. The kitchen properly stunk afterwards

Phos is higher than what I expected. Guess I best up my amount of ROWA from 50ml to 80ml

I best get that sump cleaned out again as well, that's disgusting!!!
