Refugium LED Light

Im looking for a refugium grow light. I am currently using a Sylvania 100w equivalent micro mini CFL bulb. http://www.lowes.com/pd_302257-3-26966___?productId=3202347&pl=1&Ntt=6500k

What are some other options? I want to stay under $100.00

15000k for refugium?

You should be able to find an LED spotlight at Lowe's or HD. What's critical is that the kelvin is 5000 or higher.

Isn't that way to high in kalvin?? I thought you wanted to be down around 6500-7000k??

6500K is what you want assuming you are trying to grow macro algae.

I'm using a kessil h150 purple and It grows like crazy! You can find them on eBay for around $70. I have to trim macro every week

I used the Cree CXA 2530 with great results. Very efficient and great growth for a single Chip LED. Both the 93CRI 3K and the 80 CRI 5.5 K grew Macro algae well.
