I am thinking of buying the Octo Aquatics Red Sea Reefer 170 baffle kit to divide the sump where the skimmer sits into a refugium on one side. https://octoaquatics.com/product/sump-baffle-kit/

Question 1: which side should I make the refugium, and which side should I make the skimmer? (Picture examples attached below). I have seen both setups and wasn’t sure what is best.

Question 2: Will the Nyos 120 skimmer sit on the left side after the baffle kit is installed, or is it too big?

Which side: personal preference, it probably makes little difference.

Will it fit: do you have measurements and dimensions?

Hi Colby,
The left side is just about12 cm in depth, so not much space for most skimmers.
To fit the auto top up tank Red Sea wasted a lot of space. Since most don't use the auto top up tank, lot of space in sump has gone to waste.
