Reliable return pumps?

I have a nuvo fusion 20 with some low gph rated pumps. Something like 188 gph for each pump, debating on upgrading and using the random flow generators.

I'm thinking about trying the Mightyjet 538, but was curious about the reliability of the Jebao DCP series pumps.

Anyone recommend any other brands? Taking a gamble with their new dmp 10, that should be here after Christmas.

Right now, it's a FOWLR but plan on adding some LPS and SPS soon.

Not sure how large your pump space is but sicce, mag drive and tunze all make good pumps

Sccie 1.5 would definitely fit from what I have read. But was interested in something with a controller.

I've been very happy with my Jebao. I'm using the DCQ series and it's been running for almost 3 years. They are inexpensive enough that I'm probably going to buy another one to keep on hand as a backup.

If you do a search about there reliability you'll find a bunch of info. I'll also second that sicce, mag drive and tunze are all good brands. Years ago I had a mag drive on a smaller tank and it added too much heat to the water. I'd suggest making sure you stick with a DC pump.

Had a jebao and returned it after a few weeks due to it being too noisy. I have had a near silent jerepet off of Amazon for 1.5 years with 0 issues (knock on wood)

I have been continuously running a dcp-10000 for almost 6 years without any issues. I haven’t even cleaned it.
I doubt I will ever go away from Jebao return pumps. They’re affordable and have been incredibly reliable in my experience.

Thanks, all. I was leaning towards the Jebao dcp 2500 for my 20.
Some mixed reviews, see that some fail within a day or a month. So I guess it's just a luck of the draw and will try it out.

I have had zero problems with the Jebao pumps which have run 5 years now, dead silent and still running strong.

I use everything they make!

I have a Hygger return pump that is a knock off of the AI Axis which is a copy of some other brand lol

It is on my WB 25 and absolutely silent. It's only been running about 3 months but they are cheap and Amazon so I will buy another and return this one if it fails early

I've used Eheim Universal 1262 Pumps for years. Literally years. They've run continuously for that time (a good 5 or 6 years). The only time they've stopped is when we've had a brief power outage. I never cleaned them or performed any preventive maintenance on them. (Do as I say, not as I do.) I finally replaced both of them with one Sicce.

Dont worry about the flow from the returns. I have a nuvo20 as well and they are 130gph for each pump. That is just to move water through the filtration. You are getting a dmp10 so I see no reason to get higher rated pumps in the AIO chamber.

Another vote for Jebao returns… they’re affordable enough that I consider them consumable - a little bit of a hassle to clean sometimes, but what pump isn’t?

Thinking about upgrading the return pump in my fluvial evo 13.5, I also have a powerhead on the opposite side of the tank so not real sure I need to.... wondering what to get? I saw a Sicce 1.0 but wondering if that is too much for that size tank.

Simplicity, rebranded Jebao that has great customer service and warranty. I wish they had more products. I’ve had a dcp10000 running for six? years. I used to clean it but haven’t touched it in several years now. The power supply died a year or two ago. It was like $30ish? Overnight on Amazon. I bought a spare Jebao dcp10000 the same time I got the power supply. I may never need it, ha

I run 3 DCP return pumps, 3500, 5000 and a 15000. I've been very happy with them. Mine are silent or at least I can't hear the pumps above the normal sounds of water flowing through the sumps. Mine have been running from 10 months to a few years and have never been cleaned. They're cheap enough I have backups of each one on the shelf.

I'll be running two Sicce Syncra SDC 9.0's when I launch. Great product.

Sicce's app is awesome and even sends you alerts when the pump needs to be cleaned. It is always accessible unlike Mobius, It also monitors your water temp which is a nice perk. I wont buy any other brand moving forward.

I use a tunze for my small AIO tank. I forget the number, but they make two small AC return pumps. I believe they are manufactured by Sicce, but the equivalent Sicce was noisier and I’m a noise nut and also a Tunze fan.
