Welcome to R2R

I would love to hear the rest of the "may do no good"
I follow the experts on fish disease treatments here i.e., Jay Hemdal, and am also a vet parasitologist (mammalian) and understand that copper treatment in an isolated from all your invertebrates QT tank is really the only sure effective, and most always safe (some species of fish may not handle it as well, but Coral Beauties do) .
In lots of our opinions, a simple QT tank (for isolated treatment and subsequent observation) is the best investment early reefers can make.
You can find out more in the fish disease sections of the forum.
Best of luck

Welcome to r2r hope things go well and work out sounds like you have a plan though. Thats always step one. Now with that being said the more info you give here about anything helps everyone here to help in the best possible way. I have noticed that this reef family is always here to help with anything......
