Return Pump Not Turning Back On

The most common reason for this IME - is that the pump has calcifications - that don't stop the pump - until it totally stops - then tries to restart. I would Suggest you use a mild (key word) - mild - acid bath with vinegar or citric acid - and my guess is that you will have no issues

For me it’s the Sicce 1.0. If I turn it off or when there’s a power outrage, 80 to 90% will not turn it back on. Every time I have to take it a part and put it back and it works.

Please note this, the pump was not dirty or any clogging. I had this problem with the old Sicce 1.0 that came with the nano, but I had the same issue with the new one.

Last time my mp10 saved my fish because I had a short power outage but i was at work and the Sicce did not turn back on when power was restored.

^^^^ Yeap, I just had my Sicce 0.5 return pump on my IM 15 AIO tank simply went off all by itself, so I am shopping for a new return pump, my tiny little wave maker saved the day.

I am having some issues with my Sicce Syncra 1.0. When I do a water change or turn off pump for feeding, the pump does not come back on 90% of the time without me having to manually spin the impeller. This causes me to have to completely remove it from the tank and dismantle it and spin it to get it going again. I clean it out completely regularly and I still have the issue after cleaning. It has only started after about 8 months of using the pump.

Has anyone else experienced this problem or have a solution to this
But if about 30% of the food are not consumed by my fish because they got pushed by the return pump then I lost that 30% of food and became waste.
I am not familiar with that pump but when I was using powerheads it happened all the time. Just pull them out and wack it with the handle of a hammer

I have done this twice already, and it hasn’t helped the issue. Once it’s running, it performs fine, but if I turn it off and try to turn it on again, it doesn’t want to start back up by itself.
You than have a faulty component- either the impeller of pump housing itself

So this is the pump I purchased to replace the Sicce 0.5 pump that just kept shutting off, I think the price is a tad high for it, It is barely stronger than the Sicco 0.5 pump, I like that I can dial it in and that it has a little wiggle room for more or less, it is really small and fits in the back chamber of the IM 15 easily.
