Hey everyone, so quick question I was having a breakout of Dino’s and I’m sure cyano over the pat 6 months. I ended up breaking down the tank as I’m setting up a 60 cube. I took all the rock out that had all the Dino slime and hosed it off and it’s pretty much outside. Can I reuse the rock should I leave it outside longer. What suggestions would you all have.

That was the only option it gave me to post. Super helpful response though!! Man I’ll use that advice.
No worries I removed it for you.

You can bleach wash the rock to get rid of organic matter. If you wanted to be extra careful you can additionally acid wash the rock to get rid of stuff that may have bonded to the surface layer. BRS has some videos on this on Youtube.

soak in a pail of water and peroxide and that will kill everything off. Just soak for a few days afterwards to rid any of the left over that was absorbed in the rock.
