Hey, nice looking tank. Loving that big turquoise stag that you have in there. Are you getting good growth with the monti cap? The orange and red seem to grow the fastest.

Thanks, super fast montipora growth I just had to move it there it was the size of a half dollar when I got it a couple months ago it's palm sized now, and started getting too close to my tricolor and ATL bansai. I also have rainbow, leng sy, tyree undata, tyree pink polyp,Idaho grape, and candy apple cap which are all growing nicely as well.

So you are doing liquid calicum, like a 2 part? What Magnesium are you using? How much do you find you need to dose on a daily basis.?

None what so ever the corals seem to love it and I used to keep it at 68-69 with no problems but adding more lights and moving into winter found it more stable/safe to stay between 71-72 with no real fluctuation.

Thats interesting, as most people think that 71 is detrimental on their tanks at the temp. My tank has dropped to 71 plenty of times this year and I haven't lost a thing because of it, but I would never think to run it that low like that.

I think the halide era caused the need for tanks to be in the 78-81 range and that's just my kind of unfactual bs opinion but the results speak for themselves and my corals color up beter now than in previous warmer tanks driven by halides so I'm a firm believer in the 71-73 range, no chiller required :)

Also I started it at 68-69 as a nps tank (when it was in the 17 gal)

Great looking tank! I find it very interesting that you keep the temp so low, but if it aint broke don't fix it!
