Hello,

Can someone please identify what this is on my Ricordea Florida? It has been opening up so large that I normally wouldn't be able to see it. It's normally real happy and covers a good bit larger area than the plug. It's closed up because I was picking up skin from my cleaner shrimp that was right next to it. I'm concerned that it may be a parasite or something? All of my coral get dipped in CoralRx prior to going to the tank. The first picture is somewhat normal and the second one shows the yellow ball/attachment in question. Thank you!

Haha, I knew that was possible but didn’t even consider it. Could it possibly impact the coral and need relocation or is it best to just let nature alone? Thanks for the fast response!
I would remove it myself as it can irritate the coral eventually but mushrooms usually win warfare battles anyways so i wouldnt worry too much if you wanted to keep it.
