rio 6hf upgrade question

so im planning on buying a rio 6hf ifor upgraded flow. those of you who have done this upgrade what have you done? have you used lockline? if so what size? hve you just left the original flow director there?

If it is for a biocube I used 1/2 locline split with a Y adapter to a couple of flow nozzles
