I thought I'd get at least another 5 years out of mine. Do what you can, I almost got rid of it all... It's a big expense to be blindsided with. In the end I love the fish enough that they are going nowhere. Best of luck.
Exactly, I feel like I would have taken this better if it had been five or six years and then a failure.

I did start doing research into acrylic last night, all the stuff I saw listed clarity as a CON for acrylic due to yellowing over time?? Do you have pics of yours posted anywhere under white light and how long have you had it?
Don’t yellow over time. I have recent post on my 3/4” . Be ready to pay $$$ though , they are light weight and a bit more pricier. Like I mentioned I sleep good at night now. The clarity difference from low iron to acrylic was pointed out by my wife.

To each their own though the reason I am recommending it because I been there done that! I also have pics of my seam busting at 2am on my thread :) many will argue with that topic too though

Sorry to see this and hope it works out for you.

If Red Sea doesn't replace it with the newer version and you need to buy new I can recommend Planet Aquariums. I am very impressed with the one I have.
Have several tabs open for them hehe, thank you!

I had a custom made 200g planet tank for a few years. It was a beast.

Even if Red Sea warranties your tank and sends you a new one, I'd sell it.

Sure thing, sorry it's a bit rough, screenshotted this from videos. You can see where the sand is all pooled in the front, but not along the sides. I have zero experience with this (until now LOL) but I would likely assume you might see bubbling first in the silicone before the pressure of the water could suck sand down through it while it leaked...

When my Red Sea busted I replaced it with a Planet Aquarium, no worries so far.

Any thoughts or suggestions for a different manufacturer ? I'll forever be paranoid no matter what but surely a tank failing in 2 years is not normal :confounded-face:
I bought a CADE1800 just about this time last year. Aside from the metric fittings and off-center wier that presented some flow engineering challenges, the quality is outstanding. So far. ;-)

THEY ARE REPLACING THE TANK FOR FREEEEEEE!!!!!!! This at least gives me time to think over the tank changed when I am not in emergency mode.

AHHHH YAY THANKS REDSEA

@brandon429 I know you are tracking their response etc. I emailed them on Tuesday, they just confirmed that they will replace today with a G2.

I will update the other discussion thread with that customer service outcome, the expectation is that everyone needing it will get that level of support. nice update
