I don't think it's horrible, everything is on the high side. Bump everything down a little.

Yeah today is water change day. 15, maybe 20 gallons. See what I can fit. Gotta find a way to get off buckets.
@Mschmidt what's your calcium and magnesium like?
A fine question. I should check. I've never really trusted my mag test skills though.

I didn't see you ALK was ppm but yeah that was low.

I actually don't mind checking mag, I use Salifert. I've also used Red Sea and got similar results.

You could try carbon dosing like @tbrown and me. It has helped keep things under control and I think it also helps feed corals.

I looked a little into that a while ago. Could you link a trusty source?

Also. The diy alk recipe for baking soda...

Salifert I think. It's the reading of the leftover reagent that throws me.
anyone wanna guess how often i test?
When you feel guilty about not testing?

Vinegar dosing http://reefkeeping.com/joomla/index...ar-dosing-methodology-for-the-marine-aquarium

Are you interested in baking the baking soda to soda ash? I have a few links in this post about it. Unless you have high pH issues I would bake the baking soda.

Post in thread '***SBB- Summer Sizzle Sale***- 700 WYSYWG - 400 Auctions! $1, $5 Corals. up to 80% off Starts 7/13/23!!! $2,000 In Games and GIfts!!!!!!!' https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/s...2-000-in-games-and-gifts.994575/post-11590663

This calculator is what I use when I dose.

Randy's Recipe 1 is for soda ash solution
Randy's Recipe 2 is for baking soda solution

You can also use BRS calculator they are exactly the same.

How longs it baked for?
How longs it baked for?
595 grams of baking soda @400 for an hour or 2. You can't overbake it. You can stir it once or twice to make sure to get it all.

It drives off moisture and carbon. Hence sodium bicarbonate to sodium carbonate.
