Alk 8.1
Nitrate8.6
Phos .02
Mag 1425
Calcium 420
Checked potassium yesterday and was at 400
Not bad on the numbers cept phos. Hadn't tested phos in a couple of days but usually test daily or every other day. Added 10ML of NeoPhose to bring up. The numbers are misleading somewhat because I dose 23 ML of phosphate on a doser split btwn 12 doses a day. There's always phosphate available via the dosing. What this tells me is...my coral is consuming the heck out of it. Will up my dosing to 26 ML per day and see if flattens out. Even at 23 I've had to add 5-10ml every other day or so but didn't want to overdose it. Anyhoo.

Ok... Tomorrow night so I add the Teddy Bear rock, the Frog Rock, or the Nasty Shelf? Or should I just go for the Dinosaur egg?

I keep finding these weird little bits of hard super fluorescent stuff in my tanks. I've found pink in the 5 gallon and green and pink in the 75 and 125. I occasionally also get fluorescent orange in all 3 tanks that's not hard and floats around. I don't think it's coralline is it?

I just got the stuff to culture my own. It seems almost silly to buy it when it appears to be so easy to grow.
I'm considering that once I finally get the 75 and 5 tore down, the bathroom and dining room finished, and have some space. I'd like to do rotifers, phyto, and copepods.

very good to know. i wish we could afford to dose phyto but at this point it would be tough with out culturing it myself.

1)Purchase some live phyto somewhere. Doesn't matter, small amount is enough.
2) purchase air pump... larger one with 4 to 6 nozzles would be better
3) purchase F2 fertilizer... most places you buy phyto from should also be able to sell you some fertilizer
4) make some salt water mix. Instant ocean recommended since it's cheaper in the long run, don't need expensive high end salt. Any at hand would do.
5) get some containers. I use 2L soda bottles, clear. Remove the labels. Glass etc works too.
6) I fill 3 soda containers with salt water at a time. Add some phyto to each one, enough that they have a green tint. Add 1ml F2 fertilizer. Add air line... no stone needed.
7) Add light from a cheap light fixture. One on a timer outlet works, set up to 16 hours on time. Cheap led bulb works best for no heat and low power consumption imo.

8) harvest phyto when water is dark green. Maybe 1x per week per container. Take some one of the 2l bottle, refill with clean salt water and add more f2 fertilizer for next batch. If you stagger the harvest of each container you can harvest daily etc depending on needs. Can keep in fridge if a container that closes too.

Note* when the 2l bottles get too dirty I just throw it away and replace with a new one for light to shine through
