My colonies are getting big enough again they are starting to grow into each other. The tip is this stag grew to touching the base of my Tyree Bali tricolor. The tricolor killed the tip of the stag and is now growing over it. This is the base of a big colony and its not really even getting much light.

Coral battles are so crazy. That tall stag looks identical to one i have. Sucker grows forever before branching out a different direction. Looks nice though.

Been 7 years I've had this tank up its time for it to come down. I've slowly started selling off corals and got my frag tank filled up to the rim. I took this pic after removing a bunch of coral and probably 20lbs of liverock. There is actually a nice cave work in the rocks but you couldn't see it since I had the tank so packed.

Blue squamosa! A nice sized one too. I traded 3 frags for it and didn't even know it was a blue one until it opened up in my tank. Been looking for a blue squamosa as long as I've been in the hobby. Can't wait to get the good camera out after this one.

Changed up my methods a bit again. I've been running without a fuge for a long time. I decided to try one again but a different way. I filled the sump with liverock and lit it 24/7. I'm growing hair algae as my macro instead of chaeto or caulerpa. I've seen some better growth on my sps but it's hard to attribute it all to the fuge since I've had several water related issues lately.

I'm also growing this nice red macro and it seems to be flourishing down in the sump.

Pretty cool idea. I like the look of that red macro algae....kind of reminds me of a red version of caulerpa. You know it's actual name? Good luck with this venture and be sure to keep us updated! Is yoir main reason for adding a fuge to help reduce N03 or phosphates, or some other reason? Thanks!

String of pearls is the common name but I don't have a scientific name.

Really no reason for adding a fuge again other than to see if it helps. I've been so long without one I thought I'd give it a go.
