So im in need of a booster pump for my new RO/DI unit but man the price of em seems high for what they are.
I have a 5 stage 50gpd with a added 50gpd membrane added. So 2 membranes.
Anyone ever come up with a different solution for a workable booster pump?

Yes, the RO/DI membrane run more efficiently with high pressure. 65 psi or higher is where you would like to be. Adding a booster would give you more efficiency with a higher GPH and you DI will last longer.

if you look around ebay, you can find new chinese clone for around $60-70. Much cheaper than paying around $130-170 for booster pump. I've been using one since November and it's been working like a champ.

DO YOU THINK TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCEMENTS ARE MORE HELPFUL OR HURTFUL TO REEFING?
