RO pump location

I am installing a booster pump on my RODI system. I am under in impression it is best to install the pump after the first 3 filters. Is this correct? Also after the last of these three it is a "tee" connection. One side is the water line that feeds into the membrane chamber. The other is the pressure gauge. Does this gauge need to be moved? Since the pump will be on the other side of the connection and it seems the psi reading will be before the pump.

It seems the pump is before the gauge. Will have to redo the connections. Thanks for diagrams.

Darn! Ignorance is bliss until AZDesertRat comes along and pops the bliss balloon with his knowledge of RO/DI systems. I've been running my booster pump through all filters since the beginning of time. I guess I'll have to rearrange the plumbing. And to think he's the spitting image of Alfred E. Neuman!!! :bounce:

I read the first pre filters have more of a chance of breaking due to the pressure. The hard clear plastic is not designed for it.

I run mine in between the first and second canister. The first canister is a 5 micron sediment filter and the second is a 5 micron carbon filter
