Watching that tank move is nerve wracking! Hard to appreciate how large 450g is until a dozen guys are standing next to it.
Yeah, really heavy. The bottom has 3 layers of floating glass. Also, starboard on the bottom and top, with glass euro braced bottom

Let me know how you like that MM overflow!
Its ok, I would make some changes. it only came with 1 set of gaskets, so placed it between the unit and the tank, when I placed it in the tank under the bulkhead it leaked.
The outer box, is too short, I would make it a little taller, for more water volume. The pipes are 1.5" and it being so short, the gate valve need to be precise, if you dont want alot of noise. Also the 3 overflow pipes are placed to close together. I couldn't fit the U pipes in there, so they are all stand pipes. But it does the job.

Nice...So did you sell off all your large colonies? That efflo was pretty special... I guess starting with a frags and seeing progression is what keeps this hobby exciting.. Enjoy
Yeah, I chopped everything down. Had some die off, but have pretty much everything, all my high end stuff. But the efflo and larger Montiporas are all gone. Efflo, rtn'd in the frag tank. Montiporas I gave away.

How are you liking the 4ft depth?

I'm looking into having a bigger tank built and was in the fence about 3ft or 4ft. My setup would be similar, up against a wall. So I know reaching the back of the middle of the tank will be tough.

When in doubt, go bigger. :0) I have a 3ft tank... love it. But I could see how incredible it would be to have 4ft front to back.

That's also my thought. I can't set it up peninsula style so I'm just not sure about that 4ft depth and having to work on the tank from the front.

Almost there baby!! Finally seeing the light. 4 month cycle takes alot of patience for sure. Thought I was in the clear after the bacterial bloom, sure enough I went through the uglies like no other, but now seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. **** was growing everywhere but now its dissipating and just falling off the rocks. Glad I went old school and cycled the old fashion way with no boosters.. Like originally planned, sticks will be going in at the 4 month mark.
