This is very easy and should look very cool. Just be diligent and ask whoever you are buying from, where the RFAs come from. I had 5 out of 6 from Brazil die in the first 2 weeks!

Spot on. Even with plenty of experience, extended antibiotic treatments, and so on, the RFAs from Brazil, Belize, Haiti, DR, basically anywhere but the Keys, have a bleak outlook long term.

Unfortunately, the big heat wave that hammered the RFAs in the Keys has led to a lot of the stock currently on the market/being collected/sitting with wholesalers are nems collected in these other places.

Eventhough I only get "into RFA" for the last few months, I notice that there seem to be multiple species of anemones that sold as Rock Flower Anemones. I don't have enough experiences to say if they all have the same requirements of interbreed with each other.
but keep this in mind when you read, look for or buy RFA. Have fun collecting these. It seem you just cannot have one of them. Once you are hooked, you will end up with multiples.

Thank you! I plan to get a couple here soon.

I think that since RFAs in the Caribbean have been over collected and suffering from environmental stress, sellers are getting RFAs from other areas that may not be quite the same as the Caribbean species. I think a couple of your new anemones may be different. You pictured a couple that have what look like short tentacle features close around the mouth. I've can't say I've ever seen that in the RFAs from the Caribbean.

Has anyone kept these with butterflies? I’m contemplating adding a Klein’s to take care of an aiptasia issue

This is interesting. I will keep this in mind. I need to do more research and see which ones that I have are the true Phymanthus crucifer and which of mine are not and see if I can ID them.
Thanks

I don't have a Klein, but I have a copperband butterfly to take care of my aiptasia problem and he's been a model citizen. He hasn't touched any corals including my baby RFAs that can be very easily mistaken for aiptasia.

But all fish can be different and have their own personality...
