RODI Auto Shut Off rebuildable?

My ASV doesn't appear to work any more. Can these be cleaned or rebuilt?
 
They are mechanical so possibly could be buildup in the valve. Try soaking it in a vinegar solution and trying it out again.
 
You can disassemble and clean many of them. For the cost though it is probably better to replace it and add a 1 psi check valve in the circuit as shown in the attached drawings for a more reliable shutoff.

The odd thing is that I believe this was sold to me as new. I am also running the check valve. I'm going to check my install and try again after comparing to that diagram.
