OK, I'm busting my head against a bizzare issue with my RODI system and hope someone here can help.

I have the 75GPD 6 stage BRS system. I purchased it second hand last year and used it for months with no issue. Input pressure is >50PSI (usually shows 60, but I'm pretty sure I've seen 50). INput water is about 350+ TDS.

Finally, my DI resin was exhausted and I changed all the filters (except the RO membrane). I noticed that my new DI canisters were exhausted in only 40gal of water and thought something was wrong. Using a handheld TDS meter, I found the TDS on the output of the RO stage was 200.

#1 - Assumed the RO membrane was bad so I changed it. TDS at output still >200
#2 - Thought the replacement might be bad, so I got another one, TDS at output still > 200
#3 - I purchased a new filter and housing on amazon (from membrane solutions), TDS at output still >200
#4 - I measured the output of the RO membrane before the auto shut off element and still get >200

If i use the meter on RO water from Local fish store, it reads 20. My water also doesn't taste like low TDS water (like it used to).

I'm totally stumped here. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

I have the BRS prefilters:
- Sediment
- 1 micron carbon
- 1 micron carbon

also, i forgot to mention before, but i'm 99.9% sure my RO filter is installed correctly. I installed it exactly as shown @ 2:15 (the rubber gasket end going to the side of the housing with output water).

Hello,

I’m curious and maybe I’m reading this wrong but every time you checked everything your meter said 200 correct. When you had the lfs check it they said 20, maybe your meter is bad.

Ah, I wasn't clear. when i said 200, i meant that it was in the 200s (not exactly 200).

Agree that if it was alway exactly 200 that would have been suspect
