RODI waste water?

good question.... run some tests on it and see where it is in comparison to the normal tap water. I'd think it would be better than tap since it's still running through the particle and carbon filters.

it is better and many people run tehres off into containers for thigns like watering plants and stuff.

i run my waste water into my washing machine. I tapped the outlet into the lid of the machine. we do laundry often enough that any little bit helps

My tds is higher in my waste water than just plain tap water, which makes sense. I use it to water the plants.

In a normal RO system set at 3-4:1 waste ratio the waste or brine TDS will be 20 to 25% higher than the incoming tap water TDS. It has been through a particulate and carbon filter so large chunks or sand/sediment, volatile organic chemicals and chlorine have been reduced or removed but thats about it.
It should be fine for a turtle or fresh/brackish tank but I wouldn't use it as drinking water.

For me my tap water TDS is about 800 to begin with so the waste is over 1000, I send it down the drain to be reclaimed and recharged at the local treatment plant. It doesn't go to waste, it gets reused.
