Hi new to this site and newish to saltwater. I had an established 90 gallon 10 years ago that I bought off somebody. So it was pretty easy maintaining lol. Ended up breaking it down as life went on. Finally able to be back in the game. This time I’m starting from almost scratch. I have a 120 gallon with a used R200 sump and 1 year old reef octopus skimmer. I put rock in the sump with a bag of bio rings. Also have an apex with Neptune auto top off.
To help get me a jump start I have all nutri seawater and nature’s ocean sand. I have various dry rock and rock painted with bacteria. Still fine tuning the intake and return ratio and the skimmer wants to keep bubbling over.
Any advice is appreciated lol.
