somebody dropped the measuring cup full of tank water in the sink , the handle broke off the cup and the water splashed all over the mirror *and in your face*? Now I'll take it a step further and say you dropped the cup because your wife found out you had the fish stuff in the bathroom, came up behind you and screamed at you, causing you to drop it.

Here is my theroy!

He took a clam out of the tank....put it in the cup...his wife of many years...found out he had taken the clam out of the tank...when she found this out...she went looking for him...he was being really quite...and when she found him in the bathroom...she yelled at him...which scared him...causing him to lose grip on the cup...when he lost grip...he caught the side of the cup,hitting it against the side of the counter...causing the cup to brake..his wife continued to yell at him...causing him yet again to drop the cup...with the clam in the cup...this time in the sink...then the clam squirted out the water...in his face...and on the mirror....

Was I right?

honestly i wasn't even thinking of the broken handle on the measuring cup or the water on the mirror until you guys brought it up. my eyes went straight to the "TEST" on the counter, which in a non-fish lover's home, would have probably been some kind of "other" test. but then i see the refractometer on the sink as well, and because this thread is in the Clams forum, i guess there has to be SOMETHING related to clams in this picture/story. i am kind of at a loss tho, and at the same time can come up with a million diff explanations, some that are a much longer stretch than others, with maybe one of them being what is really going on.

so you gonna reveal what this is all about?? IN THE FACE? Clams? Water Tests and Refractometers? whats goin here...

Haha! I like this game, if it were me, it would be a result of my wife finding out that I was "doing my fish tank s***" in the bathroom and doing the whole caught with **** reaction startel move. Too funny!

All these responses have been awesome and soooo worth all this buildup.

So Wifey really wanted a clam and liked the more unique ones, so do I of course. So then we headed over to Coral Reef Pets in Norridge. They ordered and got in 12 BEAUTIFUL Dr mac Clams (from Pacific East Aquaculture).


So we ended up picking up a clam and wow I can say he is a FIESTY ONE!
I take him out of the bags and swap him over into the bowl, I removed the measuring cup from the bowl I had sitting in the bowl. Well I move him over and look at the pretty colors and say, "awesome" when the little ******* shoots out at me filling my mouth and giving me a facial and spraying all over the bathroom.

Finally I get him situated and start syringing over water to acclimate him. I sit down for a few minutes and hear a huge splash and notice around that area is soaked. I figured the Achilles in the tank went by the glass and ticked him off.

Well... It def didnt stop there. I sat on the floor to keep him warm and while watching lost I would syringe more tank water over. Well... Something spooked him because again, he shot water allover.

Finally I finished acclimating him and placed him in tank last night.

Without further babbling, I give you the latest addition to my Tank.

I have yet to properly get a picture of all the crazy colors the clam has. right now it just looks, "blue"
but its purple, blue, teal.
