I know this is a pretty odd question but I've been looking into the Ruby Scats lately and found very little beyond the basics. I know they get pretty big, do better in groups, and do tend to eat quite a bit of greens, but I was wondering if you could do a few in a macro tank? I've noticed that people who do keep Ruby Scats usually have different experiences with them. I only have basic macros like blade caulerpa, and red gracilaria. Has anyone had experiences with these, or any ideas

My experience is with on the brackish side with brackish water tolerant freshwater plants. Scats have voracious appetites for plants, I would assume that they are on the same level as a Tang with regards to macroalgae.

If you want the scats, I would add them to the tank before the macroalgae and test some chaeto from your sump or caulerpa.

DO YOU THINK TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCEMENTS ARE MORE HELPFUL OR HURTFUL TO REEFING?
