That is a big hammer. Looks very healthy. Beautiful.Had this hammer for 3 years grown from a single polyp. Has over 16 branches with almost double to triple heads on each. Pretty cool that the skin actually encrusted down onto the huge disk i epoxyed it to. Problem now is its torching everything around it! Destroyed half of my todds torch, burned some jawbreakers, acans, basically everything near it. Its the size of a volleyball.
Thank you! I'll have to get a photo of the branch flesh. It literally encrusted the whole entire original stalk and onto the disk it sits on. Pretty cool to see that. The new heads emerge from the skin along the branches. That is a big hammer. Looks very healthy. Beautiful.
Just feed all the lps. I've tried a bunch of different coral foods, frozen foods, powders ect.. Right now just reef frenzy and a powder plankton mixture. I won an elos contest last year and they sent me there line of powdered food called svc. It looks like powdered calanis, maybe some other stuff but I'll mix that 5050 with some reef roids in an old coral dip sample bottle. Easier to get it all mixed up that way. Use a couple scoops of that mixed with the reef frenzy works great.Whatchu feeding your corals? Keep up whatever you're doing!
No moon lights. Reef brite comes on at 945 am. Shuts off 945 PM. 2 T5 bulbs come on at 11, all 6 bulbs are on from 1230 to 6. (Full lighting 5:30 hours) 530 to 730 just 2 bulbs. Then the reefbrite till 945.Tell us about your lighting schedule. Do you use moonlight?
What are your thoughts on what triggered the spawning?
Theyre pretty neat, came from Australia I believe. There's 2 different varieties, might pick it up one of the two bottom ones todayI like'em a lot. They look kinda like stars. Very cool.
