Here is mine. You're not kidding that it's a slow grower. Your yellows kinda look brighter.

Had this hammer for 3 years grown from a single polyp. Has over 16 branches with almost double to triple heads on each. Pretty cool that the skin actually encrusted down onto the huge disk i epoxyed it to. Problem now is its torching everything around it! Destroyed half of my todds torch, burned some jawbreakers, acans, basically everything near it. Its the size of a volleyball.

Thank you! I'll have to get a photo of the branch flesh. It literally encrusted the whole entire original stalk and onto the disk it sits on. Pretty cool to see that. The new heads emerge from the skin along the branches.

Whatchu feeding your corals? Keep up whatever you're doing!
Just feed all the lps. I've tried a bunch of different coral foods, frozen foods, powders ect.. Right now just reef frenzy and a powder plankton mixture. I won an elos contest last year and they sent me there line of powdered food called svc. It looks like powdered calanis, maybe some other stuff but I'll mix that 5050 with some reef roids in an old coral dip sample bottle. Easier to get it all mixed up that way. Use a couple scoops of that mixed with the reef frenzy works great.

I mean I know I'm not the only one, I have a small box full of different pellets, powders, even amino bottles that I've tried in the past. But I've always used reef frenzy as the base line. Rods food works great also, has way smaller particles then RF

Tell us about your lighting schedule. Do you use moonlight?
What are your thoughts on what triggered the spawning?
No moon lights. Reef brite comes on at 945 am. Shuts off 945 PM. 2 T5 bulbs come on at 11, all 6 bulbs are on from 1230 to 6. (Full lighting 5:30 hours) 530 to 730 just 2 bulbs. Then the reefbrite till 945.

Also to note the day it happened, it was 3° outside. A water change dropped my tank 1° because my room was a bit chilly. Could also have something to do with it?

Not really sure honestly. I've been reading up on it, and the way it sounds, the Patriots can win the superbowl and they'll start spawning. There's a bunch of trigger responses like lunar, diurnal temperature, threat, weather. Personally I think the eclipse we had played a part in this. I seen eggs in my filter socks the night of that phenomenon.

How do i even post a torch like this. Its litterally so velvet purple it looks red under radions. If i don't head cover the lighting pucks, it reflects the red from the leds. Its not red, question is do i buy one? They are pretty expensive. Have electric blue streaks on the oral disk, 2 different colored tips. Either a rainbow looking orange, or a rainbow looking teal. What do you guys think?

If you can kindove see above, my bright green torch I had to give out half the colony because that hammer was literally slamming down a head every night. So I might get a little creative, am looking to add a new one.

I like'em a lot. They look kinda like stars. Very cool.
Theyre pretty neat, came from Australia I believe. There's 2 different varieties, might pick it up one of the two bottom ones today
