Bummer. Just looks crappy. Should be fine.
Agreed. You should be ok.
I've gotten plenty of pebbles to the windshield! Always eventually cracks if you dont get it fixed. This glass is pretty thick, Its like a natural break, not a pit so I assume it should be fine. Just had to ask to make sure =)

Haha NOOOOO. This is the shaft of my old gyre, was working fine until I let it dry out after swapping it for the new one. Motor got jammed, so I finally for the first time took it apart. Should have quite a bit of rust in there because the housing swelled up. Cleaned a bunch of my pumps and packed them all up for later use. Now I'm wondering if I should spend the 80 bucks on a new motor, or just burry it into the junk equipment box!

I would send it to the big aquarium in the sky.

Funny I had both the 130’s and 230’s and never once pulled the block out. Didn't know it even came out like that. Just cage and prop cleanings for me. LoL
It's such a pain! Once the pump dryed up with all the coraline and slime stuff on it, turned into a goner. Took me almost 2 hours just to get the one fitting out so I can get it cleaned up.

The new gyre, I'm not all that impressed. Its litterally a differently designed 200 series with snap on fins. They dont come with an extra set of cages and impellers witch is a absolute BUMMER. I used to have clean cages ready to swap out, then once in a while soak the motor housing in acid.

Disappointing to hear. I loved them when I had them and may still go back but tried Wav’s for my recent build. They crank but Im thinking of trying MP-40’s or back to Gyres eventually. The Wav’s are borderline too much on the back glass and I cant get the angles I want on the side panels without positioning them in eye sore spots.
