Was talking to someone earlier about photography. Thought id share, top photo is with my reef brite blue strip on, bottom is just t5s only. Makes a pretty noticeable difference, although the led is usually washed out under t5s. But this goes to show the wonderful presence of having a supplemental led to any bulb source lighting.

Heres my jason fox altered ego looks very drab under daylights, but glows pretty nice with a mix of color under LED

Color loss -- its a problem the majority face with this monti, anyone have any care requirments for that other then light intensity lmk

I have this coral also. When I first had got it it was a drab color had midway up the tank and it was not happy but I left it there for three months. Finally I now have it 5 inches under the water and the colors are insane. Lightning is radion xr15 at 90% AB+ schedule for 6 hours and 4 hours of T5 blue+ and purple+. They are 8-9 inches off the water. I also feed a lot also. Hope this helps.

Now that i changed my bulbs the red colors are finally comming back. It was always bleached untill i moved it into about 400 par. Previously it was in about 300. So maybe i have to put it higher. Thanks for the advice! Very much appreciated.

Gotta give credit to these little guys. This is the second round of nudis for my tank. When i first had an aiptasia problem, they took them all down withen a couple months. Then i started to pull them to sell. Made the same mistake again adding a zoa frag with an aiptasia on it thinking id just snip it off one day without a problem. Most likely just forgot about it the day after first seeing it. Anyway, tank is down to a small handfull of aiptasia left. Ill be selling them exclusively at RAP if anyone wants them.

On another note, finally got around to changing my bulbs, and making all my maintenance as easy i could so i dont get lazy for the summer. Emrald crab took about 1/3 of the bubble algae down. Adding an urchin next week, will be my first urchin actually. Never had one before, and very much looking forward to it.

Hahaha...xenia by the pound
Lol, not even exaggerating. Theres about 30 stalks of xenia on my glass. I just have to suck it up and scrape it all out with a razor. Im just afraid that all the white gewey stuff that poofs out of the xenia when you frag it- will harm my corals. So i got myself a razor on a stick, hopefully i wont scratch the glass either while i try doing it
