Just read that one of our members/moderators and long time reefing community member has passed away due to cancer. I personally had no idea he was sick.

Our prayers and support go out to the family of BeakerBob. (Bob Avery)

Thank you Bob for your contribution to R2R and to the lives of all those you touched.

I didn't know he was sick either, he kept it to himself and his family, as he didn't want people worrying about him... Typical selfless personality of his. He is going to be missed by many.

Wow. I always found Bob to be one of my favorite members here. I loved his photography as well. I'll be sending prayers for his family.

Bob has always been a mentor to me. He played a very big part in my reefing success. Always available to me with my many questions, always generous with his home made foods.
I will miss him dearly and think of him often. My tank forever being a reminder of what an awesome human being really is.
Rest In Peace BeakerBob!!

Very sad news today for the reefing community and me personally. Bob was someone I respected and have known in the community for a great number of years. I will hold his family in my thoughts.
