Sailfin catfish

Hi all,

I'm looking after this little guy until he gets big enough to go to a friends pred tank... Catfish kindy [emoji13]

Does anyone have experience with this fish? I've been giving him pellets to forage in the sand for and tonight a pipi still in the shell (seems to be liking it)...

Would love anyone's input [emoji4]

Cool looking fish!

Not one I've got personal experience with though. I know some catfish's fin spines are venomous, and that some can grow _large_. Most aren't fussy when it comes to food. @eatbreakfast may know more about this species.

Is that a eel catfish? Reef Fishes vol 1 by Scott W. Michael had a decent section on them.

Certainly does look like one, I'll have to have a read thanks [emoji4] This one in looking after is super inquisitive and friendly! I wondered if the dorsal was venomous so I've been careful.. good call I'd say [emoji13]
