Hi all. I placed an order with salagdo aquatics on 11/14 after they were responsive to questions i had. Since i placed my order i have heard nothing back and their social media is down. Anyone have any contact with them or should i start the refund with my cc company.

Not sure if you have any insights I believe you mentioned them to me once
Ive had pure luck with them but also has been a while since Ive done an order with them. I do know if you try to call them- good luck getting the phone answered

I placed an order back in Oct. They were supposedly ready to ship my fish out but then noticed one had some white spots on it so they wanted to retreat them. Two weeks later, (the day before they were supposed to ship my fish), I emailed them asking about an update. I didn't hear anything for a week. I called and left messages as well as messaged on Facebook and emailed them. Nothing. The last communication I had with them was on 10/25 when I received an email that they had a power outage and lost most of their livestock but are going to restock. I emailed back saying I understand the situation and to update me when my order is ready. It's now been 6 weeks and I haven't had a single update despite multiple emails and phone calls. The fish I ordered are all still listed as in stock on their website and in their weekly emails. I've always had great success with their fish in the past when they were in NY and their prices were hard to beat, but this was the first time I've ordered from them since they started offering retail again from their Tx location. Needless to say, I'm so disappointed with them and I'm about ready to call my credit card company for a refund. I would have been fine if they emailed me back to say the fish are still in quarantine or some sort of update, but to completely ignore me makes me feel like they don't care about their customers like they used to.

I’m here to clarify the issues. Juan has been dealing with some heart issues for about 8 months now and decided to focus on his health and recovery. We’ve been open since 2018 and have appreciated all of our customers and friends we have made but right now this is more important. We had some issues in October with a power outage and it has gone down hill from there. We lost 80% of stock and tried to get everyone their fish by purchasing out of our own pocket and have refunded everyone else.

We temporarily shut down social media and have stopped taking orders for almost a month now. Social media became overwhelming. The business became overwhelming when only one person could run it while the other was recovering. We fulfilled the last of orders last week and started issuing refunds on Monday. If you have not received your money, please contact your bank.

Any communication I have been having with them has been ghosted, through email and phone.
Rather unprofessional. I am not here for any excuses, a simple email or reply to phone call/voicemail would have been adequate. If you're struggling, you should have been transparent.
Currently, undergoing dispute with my payment on the order.
You could have avoided all the confusion and presumed shady practices if you simply were being transparent with your issues.

I agree. Why post a blackfriday sale and discount code when you know you are habing trouble. That is just shady business practice and now i have money tied up with you that i cant use and have wait for the dispute to settle. If you giys ever do come back you have done alot of damage to your name and I for one will never come back.
