Salinity Probes that work with the Apex

I'm not at home and I can't seem to find a pic I took of the Neptune connector but IIRC it's not completely found and has 2 notches on one side of the plug. I tried to find a closeup of the Reed connector and this was the best I could find

Assuming this is the same Reed probe and my old eyes are not playing tricks, that connector looks completely round with no notches.

I'm having a TLDR moment, did any of ya'll try this AliE probe? I kinda want to order one for testing sake, but that 48$ tho... I may order one of those with a BNC and do the mini din swap (cheaper) and see what comes out of it.

I recently did a deep dive and I believe this is the source for the APEX probe. I have not positively confirmed the connector, but from the description I believe its correct. I have not bought one yet, just wanted to put it out there. It is a good bit cheaper.

I’m not sure if you’re talking about switching out the connector on that Jenco probe but I inquired on their site and they told me that the probe is only compatible with their controller and not the Apex.

I am going to make what sounds like a snarky comment - which is not meant to be so. Just buy a new Apex probe. Compared to the potential savings for the probe, the value of your tank is far more. Just stick with apex - or it may void your warranty.

Well - lets say you have a Toyota Pickup that uses regular gas, and you put diesel in... What do you think the service department would say? I mean - the point I made above is probably a moot point, since most people wouldn't need or want to replace a pH probe within the warranty period anyway. But - If you need one during that period, it doesn't cost anything to call and ask if XYZ probe is allowed to be used, right?

Have you personally tried this probe? Cable is too short but im sure that can be overcome

I'm using this one. It's all plastic except for the two electrodes. I had a busted apex salinity probe donor for the din connector. I recall this diy being more straightforward than anticipated. The probe took about a week to stabilize. It's been pretty solid since (fluctuates between 52.3 - 53.7 mS/cm) been running for a few months now.

Good to know there is another alternative. Been using the Pasco for a year or so now, no issues.
