It is now just shy of a month since I ordered my MAX E 170 from saltwateraquariums.com and I still do not have a working fish tank. My tank showed up quickly (less than a week) but showed up broken.
After almost 2 weeks of working with them and getting the runaround (it's not us, it's our distributor, my guy's out sick, it's not our fault) I gave in and called Red Sea directly who hadn't even gotten all the information they needed from saltwateraquarium.com. I am now working directly through Red Sea (still haven't gotten a new tank) but saltwateraquarium.com has been no help in this process. If you want to buy a Red Sea product, buy it local, and whatever you do, do not purchase it through saltwateraquarium.com. To this date I do not have an aquarium nor has a replacement been shipped despite the expedited replacement promise on their website, nor have I been given any avenue for a refund. If the tank ever shows up I'm spending my rewardspoints through them and then switching all future orders elsewhere.

I sent Red Sea an email explaining my issues with saltwateraquarium.com and CC'd saltwateraquarium.com and got the following message from saltwateraquarium.com later in the day.

Sorry for the delays this tank situation has cost you. I understand your frustrations. I am home today with my two sick kiddos but will forward this again on to my tank manager in AZ. We have no large tanks here in PA, if I could send it to you myself I would. I am adding $50 store credit to your account for the delays.

It doesn't make things right but it's something.

Just to give you guys an idea of just how untrue saltwateraquarium.com's expedited replacement policy is, it has now been over a month since I paid them for my tank. I still do not have my tank and they refuse to provide a refund.

31 days from the time of reporting a tank as arriving broken is how long it takes to get a replacement tank for a common item from saltwateraquarium.com. To include having to go to a third party, and then contacting Red Sea personally and having a 31 email long chain between all parties to get a replacement tank. Do yourself a favor and have a LFS order one for you if you want one... Great tank though.
