Thank you so much! The tank is doing well, the fish can’t believe their luck and my husband hates me ;). It was a pain and a lot of work, but we figured it out.

Couple issues thou, I’m trying to figure out my skimmer. I think I have it were I like it, but it spills foamy water into my fuge area. Also, on my XP Aqua ultimate ATO I can’t get it working. I followed the directions and plugged it in, but no LED light.

@Sandbox - Very nice build thread mate!!
How do you like that ATO system you bought, since it's fairly new?
I went with the ATK Kit since everything will be integrated w/ #Apex.
Any new updates on which sump you went with?
So the ATO system gave me a little hick up at first. You really have to push the cable into the controller to get it powered on. Then I had the dang sensor on upside down so it keep beeping at me lol. Now I have it all figured out and I love it. Super easy and a great product. Excellent customer service too.

Tomorrow the tank will be up and running for a week. I transferred all of the water from the 75 gallon and some rocks, but I put in new sand. I’m using Aquaforest products and even thou the tanks is starting to get little brown uglies, it’s coming along nicely. After all the scary reviews on waterbox I was worried, but my tank is so amazing and crystal clear. I love it!!!

The XP ultimate ATO is a great product. It took me a little to figure it out, but I’m a newbie lol. The Deltec 1000 DC skimmer is fantastic and quiet. Very easy to set up and dial in. The Red Dragon return pump is super quiet and very powerful. This tank is 10xs quieter than my last. I just hear a little water movement. The plumbing is spot on and dead silent.

I’m very blessed!

Looking very good so far. Glad it is going well for you. I just ordered my 5526 yesterday and can’t wait for it to come. Not looking forward to the tank transfer. Should have plenty of room for my corals now. I plan to keep my some of my rock but use new sand and some new rock. I am inspired now. Thanks! ;)

Thank you so much for the kind words. I really hope your tank comes in great shape. I think you have a great plan and I wish you luck during your transfer. It was really a pain in the butt, but worth it.

Tank is on course. I ordered a lid from Artfully Acrylic and I’ve had to contact Marine Depot about a part that was missing from my skimmer. Both MD and Deltec have superior customer service.
I used the live rock from my old established tank and about 90% of the water. Also, about 12 days b4 I added live stock, I started the tank on Aquaforest bacteria. Going through some brown uglies. Fish seem happy to have tons of swimming space.

Hello everyone! It’s been a very long time since I’ve posted. I’ve gone through some ups and downs and a lot of learning lol. The tank has seen algae blooms, aiptasia, death and growth. I love the Orpheks, but I needed to raise them up a lot. The skimmer and return pump are great. My ATO pooped out on me and I’ve had to replace one Colbalt heater. Other than that I’m pretty happy. Still dealing with some issues, but I’m loving my Waterbox!! The gate valve quit working, but it was replaced right away. The hinges rusted in the sump area and they were replaced also. Highly recommend the peninsula!

Th
Wow nice equipment! Please give us a full report on that skimmer! In your intro thread I didn't notice you were from Ohio!
After approx 1.5 years of use, if someone stole my skimmer I would replace it lol. Very simple set up and it skimms stuff you wouldn’t believe. For a newbie it was easy to figure out and dial in. Also, It is super quiet.

Thank you very much! I had a very bad case of cyano and it looked so horrible. Now I have hair algae, but not too crazy. However, I’m dealing with very high phosphates and Nitrates. I got chaeto for the fuge and I’m hand dosing RedSea NO3 PO4X. I raised by lights, upped the flow and I’m feeding less. Also, I bought peppermint shrimp for my Aiptasia problem However, they are slacking lol. Still a work in process and a long ways to go until I can get LPS and SOs.
