My #SBB coral dominated tank. Please ignore the fallen soldiers and the sad looking monti in the back. Had a small rank cash after my last sale shipment. But most everyone survived

Twister metal looks awesome! Might need to increase PAR a bit to keep the reds?

Wow sorry to hear that.

Yeah it's gone more orange I think, probably PAR.

The twister metal is on I really like, the pic on the website showed it as red/purple, I noticed green when I got it but it has turned more green. I'd like to keep the green/red/purple blend.

Going to let them settle in a bit more then up my PAR when I glue them down.

Some crazy stuff i was messing with AI website and this is an artical it came up with within seconds LOL

Encrusting corals are coral species that grow in a flat, encrusting shape, covering a wide area of substrate. They are known for their ability to grow quickly and can be used to create a natural-looking reef structure in an aquarium. Here are some steps to encrust corals:

  1. Choose the right species: Not all coral species will encrust. Some common encrusting coral species include Acropora, Montipora, and Pocillopora.
  2. Choose the right location: Encrusting corals need a lot of light and strong water flow to grow. Place them in an area of the aquarium that receives the most light and has the strongest water flow.
  3. Fragmenting: Some encrusting corals can be fragmented, meaning that you can break off a small piece of the coral and attach it to a rock or plug. This will encourage the coral to grow and encrust the surrounding area.
  4. Provide nutrition: Encrusting corals need a steady supply of nutrients to grow. This can be provided through regular feedings of small planktonic foods or by using a protein skimmer to remove organic waste from the water.
  5. Monitor the water parameters: Keep an eye on the water parameters such as pH, temperature, and salinity to ensure they are within the appropriate range for the coral species.
  6. Be patient: Encrusting corals can take a long time to grow and encrust an area. Be patient and give them the time and conditions they need to thrive.
It's important to note that some encrusting corals like Acropora, Montipora and Pocillopora are sensitive to changes in the water parameters, so it's important to monitor the water quality in the tank, and be sure to keep a stable environment for them to thrive.

WHOA WHOA WHOA PEOPLE!!! Corals Admittedly won't be frowned upon or looked down on by ANYONE in the group. Our mission is to support those who obviously have a problem by encouraging them to indulge and explore deeper into that problem by filling their tank to the brim with SBB Corals. I can remember my first time...Corals Admittedly is admitting you have a problem...and that problem is you NEED more coral. No quitters allowed.
