Had a rough couple of days, sadly the flame hawk died from a internal parisite that despite my best efforts I was not able to beat, also lost the purple stylo for some reason.

Day 3 of qt for the goby and everything is going great she is eating like crazy, started adding copper to the water. 2 ml in the AM and 2ml in the PM for three days and I should be at therapeutic levels.

Question - does SCA give you 3x 1" bulkheads? Is it an issue with the return being oversized or are you just using reducers?

It does have 3 1" bulkheads, I am just running 1" on everything and it is working great.

Ok thanks. I'll use reducers on mine to 1/2" so i have a lesser quantity of water to drain back and raise water level in sump (which even an inch or so sometimes makes my skimmer overflow!! Drives me nuts...) and I don't like check valves. Less complicated the better IMO and experience.

Transferred Sandy the watchman goby into a sterile qt today after 15 days in therapeutic copper, now for another week or two of observation and prazi. Then she will be ready for the DT.

On a more positive note "Sandy" the watchman goby got introduced into the DT today and she has already made her burrow. I will also include a few pictures of the other fish.

Tested the par in my tank and was pleasantly surprised, I am only running my light at 40% blue and 20% white. Sorry for the horrible sketch but here is a picture of what I measured.

Thanks to @saltyfilmfolks suggestions I was able to knock the brown algae out in a few days by stirring the sand and adding some more snails and "Sandy" the watchman goby is awesome at keeping the sand clean.

Today was maintenance day, took the skimmer apart and deep cleaned it, cleaned power heads, cleaned the sump completely out and installed a jaebo dcp 5000 return pump. It is extremely quite can't hear it even with the cabinet doors open.

Haven’t updated for awhile, added a few corals and all the existing fish and corals are doing great. I added a purple with green tips hammer, a German blue polyp digi, a beautiful vibrant orange rhodactis, some fire and ice, pink zipper and an unknown green and yellow zoas, and a light blue blasto.
