How the did i skirt the system?
I treated this the same as I messing treated everything else i bought here.
Maybe just dont buy here anymore
Maybe take down the selling board on here.
No where does it say to only use Market place
You never even gone on market place.
So what the heck do you even know.
So annoying

Just read thru my posts and I dont see complaining at all just stating facts and the user that scammed me and others.
The responses were well with in this very first post but didn't address if market place was part of R2R and how that would make a difference.

I haven't used the market place myself but it seems to me from what I've read that people getting scammed are skirting the market place payments. If that's the case then I'm not sure why the complaints are being posted here making it sound like R2R is doing the wrong. Follow the rules and you won't get scammed, plain and simple. Skirting the system is nothing new and if a person chooses to do so they should look in the mirror and then they'll know where to place blame. This nothing new. Sellers were requesting eBay buyers to complete sales outside of eBay years ago before PayPal was a thing so they didn't have to pay eBays fees. At the time eBay provided the buyers protection so any payment that skirted the system had no buyers protection. Sellers would offer discounts to complete the purchase outside of eBay. Maybe I'm missing something here but it seems like people who choose not to follow the rules that are clearly explained should be willing to accept the risk but they also need to accept responsibility for their actions and place blame where it belongs. Too many people want to shift the blame when something goes wrong instead of stepping up and accepting responsibility for their actions.
Like I said I have not used the new market place but I haven't heard of anyone following the rules and not skirting the system getting scammed but maybe I'm wrong

I haven't purchased on marketplace yet, but I have used eBay quite a bit.

The buyer protection on that platform is terrible now. They also delete negative feedback or any review mentioning eBay in a negative light. .

Awww. I don't think he means it. I think @exnisstech misunderstood - he thinks you used the NEW marketplace but didn't pay through the marketplace.

I think you are saying you used the OLD marketplace, which basically is just classifieds and no built in way to pay.

I think what @exnisstech says is very true, but it just doesn't apply to this situation.


As a buyer, I'm pretty excited about the new marketplace. The way I understand it R2R holds your money is escrow until you say you received the product. That seems a lot safer to me. I've made a few purchases and so far so good.

That marketplace held the money till the item is received.
I will look and see if there is a write up of how marketplace works.
If this is the case then they should take down the old ads for both equipment and live

im telling you, some of the ppl on this platform need some new life in them. ignoring the direct problem and issue just to protect face. ppl will take advantage no matter what, you just simply said "hey dont buy from this person" prewarning other members and you get attacked. never makes sense

what happens if you dont receive exactly what you ordered though? how does it get handled

I didnt see the they hold the money till item is received.

So i looked more last night and clicked on to buy something just to see how or what popped up. And it does say the funds are held till product is marked received.
I didnt go any farther to see how the payment options look.

The money goes to an app called Stripe, and is held there until the buyer receives the item and clicks on a tab that says he says it's what was advertised.
Then 5%-6% of the money is withheld and the seller gets his share through the app.

I did a cart my self last night. Was hoping I would see more sellers with more than 2 reviews. TIA I may try first but I’m not to far from the store
