That can happen sometimes, just be sure to continue feeding. Brightwell restor is a great product if you can get your hands on that and soak some mysis shrimp in it.

I also would consider that this may be a trachyphyllia or o rather than a scolymia. It's hard to describe over text but the mouth of scolymia are shaped slightly different and they typically don't have as many ruffles on the edge.

Of course, I have seen some scolymia that take on abnormal shapes and I may be wrong but let's see if anyone else can confirm. Both are beautiful and basically require the same care but it may be important for you to know for sure in case you want to add more down the road.

LPS can close up pretty tight at times. Looks a little contracted which is nothing to worry about as long as it doesn't stay really tightly contracted for days on end.

Was it sold as a scoly? I am pretty sure that's a Trachy. They can get multiple times bigger than their skeleton and extend way out past the edge.

If that is a scoly I've never seen one that looks like that as Shirak points out (color combination flesh appearance as well), but it certainly doesn't look in trouble from the pictures I see. I think it looks rather well frankly.

Yea so appears to be a Superman trachyphyllia. I looked for Brightwell restor. Tough product to get where I am. May need to order it online. I have since fed it and it looks great. Thanks for all your help guys. Here's what it looked like after feeding
