Finally starting my 180g build after being out of the hobby for 20 years. The tank is a standard non reef Marineland. Stand and canopy were ordered from Coastal Aquarium Design. Synergy ghost overflow and CL-44 sump. More to come.

I'm super excited and happy to say I had no leaks. I need to play around with my DC pump and gate value to get the flow right. I might need to lower the main drain as well. I have way to much flow through the sump and need to turn down my pump first.

I had 150 lbs of Marco rock and probably ended up using about 130 lbs. Light going up today. 6 x 60" ATI Sunpower. Bulbs are all ATI, 3 blue plus, 2 coral plus and 1 purple plus. I altered the canopy so the light could be mounted on top because of heat concerns. Planning on adding a 60" Reefbrite for some shimmer down the road.

I'll be converting an 8 x 12 closet into a fish room. Next task will be installing a utility sink, RODI and mixing station so I can get some water in the tank. Unfortunately my plumber is booked up for a couple of weeks. I might try and rig up something temporary so I can get the cycle started.

No I didn't. The cost of the hybrid kept me from considering. The Sunpower should be enough par to grow anything and I plan on adding a Reefbrite XHO for some shimmer.
