Screen names

I am in the asphalt paving business.

Hot Rocks + oil = Asphalt lol

Us hillbillies here in Indiana just call asphalt hot rock.

There you have it.

Well My nick is an old nickname I got in high school . My friends & I were asking the others Mom's cutsy names they had for their baby sons. My mom let slip I loved crackers when just a little bugger So I was" Moma's little cracker boy " They all got a good laugh, on me ! Well it stuck my old friends still call me Cracker .

@HotRocks what part of Indiana is Westfield ? I was born in Michigan city & spent my early youth there.

WB are my initials. TheWB comes from a former coworker who when he saw me would break out with the Warner Bros cartoon Frog singing “thedubbadubbadubbadubbadubbadubbadubyaBeeeeeeee”.

The origin of mine was from when Xbox Live service was just launching. When you created a username if it was not available it would give you recommendations of usernames that were available. I don't remember exactly what my original request was but most likely related to some character from the JRR Tolkien books. Then there it was first choice. Smellytunic. I found the name funny and how in the world it thought that was close to what I picked even funnier. So I picked it..... Then it just kinda stuck and I use it everywhere now. I can with rather high confidence sign up for an account somewhere and know the name will not be taken. :)

I owned an LFS back in the day. Reef tanks were in their infancy. Most of my customers were young. I sold the store and got away from the hobby for many years. When I got back in, I assumed the people in the hobby were still in the younger demographic. I wasn't, so I figured I'd be the "geezer" of the bunch. I was wrong, but I liked the screen name so I kept it.

Ned of West Virginia.
Nurse Ned for 3 weeks while taking care of my wife after shoulder surgery.
WVNed again. I have used this name for years on all sorts of forums. It is also the watermark I put on photos.

I got mine from the daughter of the woman I was dating back when the internet was a new thing. Don't date her anymore - the wife would get kinda ticked of I did - but I've used it for so long on so many sites that it's become a part of me.
